BIM Steering Committee Malaysia Inaugural Meeting
Kuala Lumpur, 23rd September – CIDB Malaysia in its effort to enhance the local construction industry scene has formed a steering committee to facilitate the adoption and implementation of BIM in Malaysia.
Comprising of local stakeholders and industry captains, this committee aims to assist, guide and provide strategic directions to the adoption and implementation of BIM standards and resources here in Malaysia. The first Steering Committee meeting was held recently on July 24th, 2013 at CIDB Malaysia headquarters in Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur and in his welcoming speech, Chief Executive of CIDB Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Ir. Dr. Judin Abdul Karim commended the effort and cooperation rendered by members of the committee and all parties involved in the undertaking of a huge and critical task to oversee and manage the adoption and implementation of BIM in Malaysia.
The meeting was chaired by Dato’ Ir. Hj Salehudin Bin Mohd Isa, Senior Director of Cawangan Pengurusan Projek Kompleks, Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia and was attended by 16 committee members, each representing different quarters of Malaysia construction industry.
